A Euro pool pallet is a flat wooden pallet, which belongs to the exchange system of the euro pool. Typically, a Euro pallet is one which is standardized by the UIC and complies with the provisions of EPAL. It has a standard dimension of 1200 × 800 × 144 mm (length × width × height) and thus has a base of 0.96 m² and a weight of 20-24 kg.
Euro pallets are so-called four-way pallets. For example, they can be carried from all four sides with a forklift or pallet truck.
The Euro pallet is designed for the following loads during support or bearing on shelves or on the fork of a pallet truck:
- 1.000 kg, (rated load) if the load is distributed as required on the pallet surface.
- 1.500 kg, if the load is evenly distributed on the pallet surface.
- 2.000 kg, if the load is laid out compactly and uniformly over the entire surface
