Stillages are charge carriers made of steel. They are accessible from four sides and have a dimension of 1200 x 800 x 800 mm (length × width × height). Stillages are particularly suitable for the transport and storage of bulk and non-stackable goods. This in combination with its high load capacity (1,500 kg) makes the stillages very popular in the automotive industry because these charge carriers are very well suited for the storage of automobile parts. Another great advantage of the stillages is that they are standardized - like the Euro pallet - by the UIC and are subject to the provisions of EPAL. As a result, this carrier makes part of the exchange pool of EPAL and thus satisfies the criterion of exchangeability.
